Perth based photographer John Toohey lived for nearly twenty years between South Korea, Turkey and Canada, reflected in some of the images here. Today he works mostly in analogue and organises an annual group exhibition of analogue photography, Not Dead Yet, featuring photographers from Perth, other parts of Australia and internationally. The images in this portfolio reflect his movements, the first set are from Istanbul, the second from London, then more recent work in analogue, colour and black and white. Some of the last set, the black and white images, were featured in the most recent (2026) Not Dead Yet exhibition. A recent series of panoramas of Tokyo created with a half frame camera were shortlisted for the 2026 London International Creative Competition.
